Withdrawal Request Deadlines
- Exam withdrawal requests – must be received no later than the last day of the exam you are withdrawing from.
- Document Evaluation or US Document Evaluation withdrawal requests – must be received before your Document Evaluation is completed.
How to Withdraw from an Exam
Send an email to pebcinfo@pebc.ca stating:
- You wish to be withdrawn
- The exam you wish to withdraw from
- The reason why
- If you are eligible for a refund (see Refund Policies), include your current mailing address and the currency required for the refund
Withdrawing Due to Visa Refusal
- As soon as you are aware you will not be writing the exam, follow the “How to Withdraw from an Exam” instructions above
- Usual refund policies apply for withdrawal due to visa refusal
Withdrawing for Medical Reasons
- As soon as you are aware you will not be writing the exam, follow the “How to Withdraw from an Exam” instructions above
- Have the PEBC Candidate Medical Certificate completed by a physician or nurse practitioner and send a copy by email
- The certificate must be dated no later than two days after the exam
- The certificate must be received by email within 14 days of the exam. Keep the original signed copy yourself until the refund request is settled.
Withdrawing Due to Bereavement
- As soon as you are aware you will not be writing the exam follow the “How to Withdraw from an Exam” instructions above
- Email a copy of the death certificate to PEBC to verify that the bereavement was at the same time as the exam
- The death certificate must be received by email within 14 days of the exam or your case will not be considered
Writing the Next Exam Instead
- You cannot postpone an exam
- As soon as you are aware you will not be writing the exam follow the “How to Withdraw from an Exam” instructions
- Submit a new application and fee for the next exam you wish to write

If you have scheduled your exam appointment through Prometric for Part I (MCQ), you must also cancel the appointment directly with Prometric as early as possible. |
